Job Role and Summary

A CDL Bus Driver is a licensed commercial driver who transports passengers from one location to another aboard a passenger bus. He/She follows a specific route in transporting passengers and must arrive at each stop on time. Also, a CDL Bus Driver is responsible for monitoring the condition of a bus's engines, tires, gears, and other mechanical components before every trip.


A. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operates a bus to transport passengers to their destination.
  • Complies with traffic rules in operating a bus and never exceeds the speed limit.
  • Follows the exact route in transporting passengers to every bus stop of their destination.
  • Ensures that the bus arrives on schedule at each stop.
  • Works together with the bus conductor in loading the passengers into the bus in an orderly fashion.
  • Keeps the cleanliness of the bus's exteriors and interiors with the help of the conductor.
  • Performs regular maintenance checks for the bus before every trip.
  • Immediately reports damages and malfunctions with the bus for prompt repairs.
