Job Description:

The Accounting Technician is responsible for collating, checking and analyzing financial information to be utilized by accountants. The Accounting Technician is in charge of assisting the professional accountants and business managers in making decisions with the use of numerical and financial information available.

Main Duties and/or Specific Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently arranges and processes payments for invoices
  • Efficiently audits daily sales reports submitted by the location management
  • Promptly completes special projects and miscellaneous assignment as required
  • Efficiently maintains a clean and secure work area
  • Effectively maintains files, including files of general ledger journal, vouchers, accounts payable documentation, and other miscellaneous filings
  • Promptly posts data to sales department
  • Regularly maintains contact with other affiliated departments to obtain and convey information or to correct transactions
  • Neatly records receipts and payments
  • Expertly deals with basic bookkeeping
  • Promptly prepares requisitions for office, computer, and other routine supply purchases
  • Promptly assists accountants in the preparation of accounts
  • Properly handles customer and employee accounts receivables
  • Effectively monitors financial administration
  • Promptly administers payrolls
  • Efficiently assists accountants and/or bookkeepers in completing and submitting tax returns, value-added tax or VAT returns and other contributions
  • Professionally liaises with managerial staff, colleagues, and clients
  • Expertly handles company expenses and payroll systems that pay wages and salaries
  • Expertly executes the use of computerized accounting system(s)
  • Efficiently prepares and checks ledger balances and other monthly and yearly accounts
  • Professionally helps qualified accountants with accounts inspections
  • Efficiently assists qualified accountants with planning and budget control
  • Can perform tasks on or before the deadline
  • Provides honest and transparent reports to the higher management anytime

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A four-year bachelor’s degree in Accounting Technician
  • Intermediate or Advanced Diploma in Accounting Technician is a plus
  • Certified Accounting Technician is preferred

Experience:

  • Proven working experience as an accountant or in any relevant field
  • Worked as an Accounting Technician for [NUMBER] year(s)
